Barbara Stanton specializes in miniatures and portraits, working mostly with oils and occasionally in watercolor. Her charming paintings are done in a very traditional, realist style. She has a superb use of color in the precisely detailed miniature compositions, some no larger than a postage stamp.

Inspired by nature, she depicts a variety of subjects, including landscapes, florals, children & animals. They call out to the viewer to step nearer and explore more closely. Her paintings have found their way into art collections and miniature collections as well, being perfect for 1 inch scale dollhouses. These fascinating jewels of art can be found all over the world including Japan, New Zealand, Australia, France and Canada.

Painting for more than twenty years now, she has mastered her technique and continues to seek new challenges. Barbara shows and sells her work in various local and national Art and Miniature shows, Art Galleries and Miniature Shops. Lately she has been involved with a group of artists called Group95. They have several shows together a year.
